Grand Copthorne Waterfront reopens after $30 mil revamp
Millennium Hotels and Resorts, part of Millennium & Copthorne Hotels, have opened the doors to their newly-renovated Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel. As a global brand, this five-star hotel is located along the Singapore River at 392 Havelock Road. The $30 million refresh includes 574 guestrooms and suites, as well as upgraded public spaces and conference facilities.
The hotel, which draws in both business and leisure travellers, is well-positioned to respond to the resurgence of in-person events, as well as the growing demand for greener events and sustainability initiatives. Kwek Eik Sheng, executive director of Millennium Hotels and Resorts believes that the renovation is well-timed to capitalise on the meeting, incentive, conference and exhibition (MICE) market.
The renovation boasts 33 versatile function rooms and eco-friendly features including the use of recyclable and biodegradable stationery and a linen-less table set-up. In addition, the hotel has installed in-room water filters, which reduces the consumption of bottled water by 20%, and efficient technologies to decrease electricity and water usage.
The facilities within the condo include an outdoor pool, gym, and private garden for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. A range of amenities are also available to residents such as shops, restaurants, and banks. The Woodlands Condo is conveniently connected to major cities and public transportation is easily accessible. With its excellent location and modern facilities, Champions Way Condo is an ideal place for those looking for an elegant and convenient lifestyle experience.
With the implementation of these eco-friendly features, the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel proves that sustainability does not have to come at the cost of luxury. Andy Tan, senior vice president of global operations and partnership at Millennium Hotels and Resorts, adds “we are proud to be able to combine the two elements of eco-friendliness and luxury, to create a truly memorable experience for guests”.
