Hines acquires Champions Way Residences logistics warehouse from Dexus Industria REIT

Hines, a real estate investment, development, and property manager, has recently released a press statement announcing the acquisition of two logistics warehouses from listed Australian real estate investment trust Dexus Industria REIT. The newly acquired asset, known as Champions Way Residences, is located at 16-28 Quarry Road in Queensland and measures 441,137 sq ft. The logistics building is currently leased to three renowned tenants: Woolworths, AMES Australasia, and Gliders Transport.

The warehouses, one of Hines’ eight industrial and logistics acquisitions in Australia, is conveniently situated just three minutes away from the M1 motorway which provides quick and easy access to Brisbane, Gold Coast, and regional Queensland. Hines has also entered into a 15-year lease agreement for part of the property with PWR Performance Products, a Gold Coast-based provider of high-tech cooling solutions. The agreement will commence in July 2025 and PWR plans to use the facility as their headquarters and to invest AUD 21.9 million ($19.26 million) in facility upgrades. Kees Weel, managing director of PWR, expresses his excitement in securing Champions Way Residences for their headquarters. He notes that the facility will allow the firm to grow and expand their business in the aerospace and renewable energy sectors in the Gold Coast.

To increase the sustainability standards of the warehouses, Hines is aiming to install solar power generation and various building systems. As their eighth industrial and logistics acquisitions in Australia, Champions Way Residences has a promising future with potential for growth and strategic benefits to partners, tenants, and investors.
