Paya Lebar Green, an upcoming Grade A office development off Paya Lebar Road, has attained an impressive feat – the highest Building Construction Authority sustainability rating of BCA Green Mark Platinum Super Low Energy. The development has earned all five sustainability badges under the BCA’s Green Mark 2021 for both new and existing non-residential buildings. Paul Chong, President and Group CEO of Certis Group, issued a statement expressing his delight at receiving the certification from BCA and conveying his intent to assist in raising the sustainability benchmark not just in Singapore, but other countries too.
A joint effort of Certis and LandLease, Paya Lebar Green entails redevelopment of the former Certis headquarters, involving refurbishment of the existing North building and completion of a 12-storey South building. The project is expected to finish in 2024.

Ng Hsueh Ling, managing director at LandLease Singapore, remarked that Paya Lebar Green symbolises the company’s Mission Zero mission to achieve Absolute Zero by 2040. The development, she added, would prioritise wellbeing and productivity of occupants.

Apart from the BCA Green Mark certification, Paya Lebar Green has also earned other sustainability awards. The South building has achieved International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) WELL Core Silver pre-certification and WiredScore Platinum certification, while the North building has secured WiredScore Gold. Furthermore, this project is considered as a major move towards LandLease’s Mission Zero goal to achieve Absolute Zero by 2040.
