Straits Developments Pte Ltd, a fully-owned subsidiary of The Straits Trading Company Ltd, has unveiled two new products in the field of fractionalised property investment: FIR-ST.

As described by group COO and CEO Eric Teng, FIR-ST provides “diversification for investors who wish to gain exposure to Singapore residential real estate in bite-sized fractions”.

Straits Trading Shareholders’ Club members who are also accredited investors may purchase preference shares in these investments and may enjoy dividends, paid semi-annually, and a potential gain in capital appreciation of the properties over the course of five years. Unpredictable as the returns are, preference share holders may also benefit from a special payout reflecting the potential rise in the value of the properties.

The condominium consists of 861 units of studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, three-bedroom and four-bedroom apartments.
